OK, I can’t not share this one. I went to the GPs to collect my blood test results as arranged by phone, but first they had to be signed off by a doctor. Turns out he was a locum, and wanted to speak to me before I left with the results (which, as I’d been told on the phone, were “all normal”, remember?).
So I went into his office, sat down, and he said “hi” at least a dozen times. He then went on to explain that… my testosterone level is low. Shock horror.
I can only assume that he’d not read my notes.
I basked in the hilarity of the moment, and when he asked what the tests were for, I just said they’d been requested by a specialist, and I was expecting a prescription by the end of the exchange. He asked if I’d be seeing an endocrinologist, I said yeeees, and he explained that he’d put a note with the tests and I’d need to discuss it with them when I see them.
Very entertaining, that was all. I laughed all the way home.
